This thriving city is the business hub of the Capricorn Region and is a one hour flight from the Brisbane International airport, Rockhampton has a warm subtropical climate and experiences over 300 days of sunshine per year. Students can take advantage of the lower cost of living and easy lifestyle of a smaller regional city. The major industries of the Central Queensland region are mining, agriculture, tourism and environmental management.

Student Support
The Student Support team offers the following services:
- Provides information on airport meet and greet upon arrival
- Conducts orientation programs for new students.
- Offers mentoring system to ensure that all new students have a staff member to contact
- Cultural and student excursions and activities
- Personal issues — offering a confidential counselling and referral service
- Assistance with student visa issues
- Offers avenues for Grievance Resolution
- Works with academic staff to monitor academic performance and provide assistance where necessary

on-campus Training, Education and Careers Coaching Services - Referrals from faculty relating to academic issues
